Background: Although many marketing materials have moved online, there is still a benefit to having a printed product. Peninsula College had rack cards and brochures for their individual programs and services, but when people wanted information to take with them they had to walk away with several handouts. The goal of the Look Book was to be a single, printed item that would be useful for all departments to share introductory information about Peninsula College.
The Project: This project was developed as part of a campaign geared toward graduating high school seniors. The Marketing Department worked with Financial Aid, Student Services, and Instruction to verify the content of the book. I designed the project and worked with a local printing company to determine print specs, size, quantity, and paper stock that were cost-effective but still had an impressive, professional feel. The 16-page booklet is small enough to be portable, but has a thickness that provides a sense of quality. It is also designed with a mailing section on the back so it can be directly mailed to people.
The Outcome: General feedback from other departments, college leadership, and board members is positive. They are excited for this project and believe it is something the college needs to help show the community what they offer.
